First Jazz Broadcast from PDFjazzmusic.com!
I am so fascinated by this new Google video search engine. I was just surfing around again on there and learned a few new things. You can sort by date or relevance of your search. They also have a new function whereby you can copy and paste a few lines of code and have the video play from your own website.
The ramifications of this are immense for getting your "message" to a market very quickly. The internet has made the world smaller, but Google has now made it even smaller by allowing for people to make a video and potentially have the video shown on "tv stations" (websites) all over the world!
With that said, I stumbled across this video of a trio and singer in Boulder, CO doing the tune Bye Bye Blackbird. Good group too. I'll continue to keep my eyes open for good jazz, and especially big band performances to bring to you guys and post them right here. The great part is that Google picks up all the bandwidth costs! I need to go out and get a digital camera.
Here is today's jazz broadcast....
Jazz on the Mezz is held every Wednesday night from 5:30-9:30 at the historic Hotel Boulderado in downtown Boulder, Colorado. Each week, the Diamond / Weyl Jazz Showcase features two special guest artists. This video was filmed on November 16, 2005.
Marguerite Jueneman - Vocals
Andy Weyl - Piano
Mark Diamond - Bass
Chris Lee - Drums
