Free Combo Chart - Merry Christmas
Listen to my short audio message...
I've got a combo chart for you...consider it my Christmas present to you. It is scored for 4 horns and rhythm, and it is based on the tune Mamacita by Joe Henderson. You may remember that I had this leadsheet on the blog awhile back. Then I learned that it was very similar (the beginning anyway) to Joe Henderson's tune. A weird experience to say the least. I hadn't heard the tune in 20 years!
Anyway, this on is free and available for anyone to download. I hope to write alot more combo charts for this instrumentation in 2007. Have fun and enjoy playing this one!

Hello Jim,
My name is Jean-Pierre Mouton and I lived in Belgium (a quite small country of Europe, I had the opportunity read some of your compositions and I am delighted with it.
I am the band leader of a big forming of jazz, or the majority of the musicians are professional. We try to reach a very high level of execution and for moments we are finalizing a latino-Cuban program, with some compositions of Arturo Sandoval, Gordon Goodwin, Chick Coréa.
I downloaded recently your piece: Orilladelmar.
We have even had no time to play it, but it is foreseen for the next rehearsal.
I regrettably have not found the MP3 to hear the way of playing it, damage.
If you still have the other peppered compositions, do not hesitate to let know me to it.
Thank you for your kindness,
I ask you also of forgive for me for my very bad English.
Jean-Pierre (jpm.jazz@skynet.be)
Thanks, Jim. The band where I play is a Big Band. Have you an arrangement for all the band of this song? Enrico and 'The kings (and the queens) of Swing big band-Rome,Italy
Hi,Jim!
I am very grateful to you!
Thank You for the present.
May 2008 bring U Health & Wealth.
Blessings.
Thank you for the chart, Jim. Mamacita II is perfect for the band. We have the same instrumentation, 4 horns/rhythm. It works perfect. I live and work in Merida, Mexico, and its very difficult to get charts down here, so I depend on the internet for new stuff. Thank you again. Take care. Bill Muntz. saxmuntz@hotmail.com
