Oscar Peterson Jazz Exercises: Young Piano Players

I've said it before on this blog, but I'll say it again: the internet is amazing! I was just surfing through what is becoming a favorite sight of mine - Scribd.com

Scribd.com is a place where you can share documents in just about any format, but people usually upload PDF files or .doc files. The cool thing about this site is that you can share the documents to other places on the internet - kind of like YouTube allows you to embed videos elsewhere - but these are documents. I have posted many videos on this blog but never documents like this.

I thought I would try posting with a document embedded on this blog post.

I ran across an exercise book that Oscar Peterson put together back in the 1960's. This book is copyrighted and I'm not sure how someone was able to upload this, but the embed code was available for anyone, sooooo....

I know this is small but you can expand it to fit your screen, then print if you'd like. To view the book in full screen, click the itty bitty button on the far right top of the screen below. It should open up to full screen mode.

Have fun, here is the file:

This book is copyrighted and you downloaded from either rapidshare or another file upload service.

It's been available on the internet for years. Don't pretend you didn't download it.

I said in the post that it is copyrighted, so relax. The file was embedded on this blog from code freely provided from www.scribd.com. Anyone can get it there too. So you are wrong, I didn't download anything.

I did this as a test to see if this embed code would work from scribd.com and obviously it does.

And if its been available for years, I"m sure anyone visiting this blog will not print the thing. They probably already have it. The question is, did they ever really practice the exercises?
