Hilton Ruiz Dies From Injuries

Jazz pianist and composer Hilton Ruiz has died from injuries he suffered in a fall in New Orleans. Ruiz had come to New Orleans to work on a Hurricane Katrina benefit project and had been comatose since the May19th fall. A jam session had been planned for Tuesday in New York before he died, as a benefit to help pay his medical expenses.
