One Note Trumpet Warmup

Trumpet players- do you struggle with a lengthy warmup, trying desperately to increase your range by doing everything correctly?  Don't worry... the days of long trumpet warmups are over!  The following video will show you how to warm up in only 20 seconds.  Why play long tones all across each and every trumpet register, when you can focus in only one note?  Apply this technique to your trumpet playing today.  You will soon wonder why you ever warmed up the "old" way again.

Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra in the Studio (video)

Below is an excellent video that contains some terrific footage in the recording studio.  Crooner/Guitarist John Pizzarelli in the studio with John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton of the Clayton Hamilton Jazz  Orchestra. John's dad, Bucky Pizzarelli sits in to record an album of Sinatra classics with a Pizzarelli flavor.

This is a very well-done video, and I believe you'll see more and more of this kind of thing to promote CDs and artists in general.  Do we really need another big band Sinatra record?  That remains to be seen, but judging from the sound of the arrangements backing John, this should be an excellent CD.
